Collecting memories, photos and
paraphernalia of past productions
Performed regularly since 1951, Chester Mystery Plays have touched thousands of people's lives and we are keen to hear from anyone who has taken part or worked behind the scenes in the past, particularly during the early days of their modern revival. Or perhaps you weren't actively involved but have some photos or a story to tell...
If you would like to contribute anything, including pictures, anecdotes, newspaper clippings, reminiscences... we'd love to hear from you. Eventually we'd like to feature an archives page on this site - and would only use your material with permission. In the first instance, please
contact archives.

Making European theatre history In 1997, Finnish drama students from Helsinki and Turku were the first group in the history of Chester Mystery Plays to take part from outside the region. In a cultural exchange programme with Chester College (now the University of Chester), they staged The Resurrection, directed by Kirsi Huotari.
